Fireman decoupage birthday card

Description

A white card has a layered image of a fireman in action, creating a 3D effect. The card is brushed with silver ink around the edges and finished with a Happy Birthday sticker.

Materials used

  • White single fold greetings card with deckle edges 104mm x 152mm (4¼ in x 6 in)
  • Decoupage paper Man 3 *
  • Sticker No. 13 Happy Birthday
  • Silver inkpad
  • Silicone glue or sticky fixers

* The decoupage paper used in this project has been discontinued by the manufacturer.

Method

Side viewThe silver edging is created by brushing the card gently against a silver inkpad.

This card uses four pictures of the same design. Cut out the design as shown in the pictures of the layers.

Build up the layers using silicone glue or sticky fixers to create space between the layers as shown in the picture on the right.

Add a Happy Birthday sticker.

The images below show the stages of cut-outs from the bottom layer to the top.
