Fish birthday card

Description

An aperture card with a fish sticker mounted on acetate film. Colour added with pens. The film is backed with decorative paper. Gold "Happy Birthday" greetings, shell and seagull stickers.

Materials used

• White double fold greetings card 104mm x 152mm with aperture
• Acetate film
• Sticker No. 37 Tropical fish
  
• Sticker No. 13 Happy Birthday
• Sticker No. 63 Seaside
• Rainbow paper
• Blue & green Identi-pen permanent markers

Method

Cut a piece of acetate film just larger than the card aperture and fix the fish sticker to the side of the acetate that is going to be on the outside.

Colour in the fish on the reverse side with permanent marker pens.

The background is rainbow paper although you could substitute mulberry paper or a suitable fabric. Cut a piece of background paper the same size as the acetate and mount both into the aperture with double-sided tape.

With the wrong side of the card facing up close the left-hand side of the card in and fix down with double-sided tape or glue.

After closing the card add shell, seagull and Happy Birthday stickers to the card. The bubbles are eyes from the fishes, you can also use pieces from the centre of the a's and p's etc.
