Lacé card

Lacé Card

Description

A pearlescent pink greetings card has an eight pointed Lacé design mounted on the front. The design is cut in pink and cream duo paper. Each of the eight points has a triple square formed by cutting and folding.

Materials used

  • Sheet of pearlescent pink card
  • Duo paper in cream and pink
  • Lacé template No. 27
  • Lacé knife
  • Lacé folding tool
  • Lacé ruler
  • Cutting mat
  • Sticky dots adhesive

Method

Use the sheet of pearlescent pink card to make a greetings card 125 mm (4¾ ins.) square.

Lace templatePlace the duo paper on the cutting mat. Place the Lacé template on top of the paper. Use the Lacé knife to cut the slots of the boxes. Cut around the outside of the Lacé template. Remove the template and the excess paper.

Place the ruler diagonally on one of the boxes from corner to corner. Use the folding tool to crease the smallest box against the ruler. Repeat with the other two parts of the box design. Remove the ruler and fold the design flat. Work around the other boxes in a similar way.

Right: Lacé tempate No. 27.

On the final box the cut out slots are actually under the fold back parts of the first box design. Fold these parts up out of the way while you work on the last box.

Mount the duo paper design on the front of the greetings card with Sticky dots adhesive.
