Rose tile card

Rose tile card

Description

A square card has a piece of lilac card mounted on the front. On this is mounted a piece of gold card. A glazed tile with a raised rose design is mounted on this.

Materials used

  • Textured Ivory single fold deckle edge greetings card 144mm (5.5in) square
  • Rubber stamp Magenta 14.107 F Rose
  • Gold card
  • Lilac card
  • Mount Board
  • Ultimate Metallic purple inkpad
  • Gold inkpad
  • Embossing Armour
  • Heat tool
  • Deckle edge scissors

Method

Cut a square of lilac card 75mm x 75mm (2.9in). Glue this to the greetings card.

Cut a square of gold card 58mm x 58mm (2.2in) using deckle edge scissors. Glue this to the lilac card.

When you create the centre block the operations need to take place whilst the Embossing Armour is in it's molten state so have all the necessary items ready to use.

Take a square of mount board 6mm larger than your rubber stamp. Ink the board all over with Ultimate Metallic purple ink. Cover it with Embossing Armour and heat it until it melts. Re-cover with Embossing Armour whilst still hot and re-heat. Have the rubber stamp ready inked with metallic gold and stamp into the molten Embossing Armour. This leaves a 3-D image and creates a glazed tile effect.

Mount the tile on the gold card.
